Several issues, crashes

I recently started getting problems with several hardware components. First of there's my CD burner, an AOpen model, it sometimes stops working and Win 2K complains I removed the hardware without previously ejecting it.
Second would be the soundcard, it sometimes stops working in the middle of work and won't work until I reboot (that was too much "work" in one sentence).
And third I get totally random crashes where the memory is dumped and the PC reboots. This is accompanied by a blue screen which reads "Driver_IRQL_not_less_or_equal" and some more stuff, but it's gone pretty fast.

Any ideas ? Might these be related ?
