Seven Days!

For some reason the title made me think of the Sting song called "Seven Days". I think I'm gonna listen to it now.

Oh yeah, btw, w00t!!!!!!!!! :D

mmmMMMmmm..... Seven days until roo chops! Yummy! Keep it up guys! :D

If I went to Outback Steakhouse and asked for Roo, well done, do you think they'd oblige?

Just 363,472 more points to go!!

Keep on Folding!!

I'll have my roo medium rare. We are gonna get them, for now. What do we do when winter hits down under, and they up the overclocks to heat their homes? We borg, build, and beg. New teammates, or reviving the old ones, is our best insurance. Look at the last 40 pages of the team user list, and you see the possibilities.

I say we start an international "Your team number is now 33" campaign! :D

Everyone push the " Turbo Button " on your computer. ;)
I'll just give it a little push here...

AUGH that was the RESET BUTTON! :p

is that like nawz?

i'd push my machines a bit more, but my room gets hot enough as it is...

i wonder how much power we'd gain if everyone raised their FSB by 1? it'd be an interesting experiment... hmm...

Gawd I remember those.
I had a 6mhz 286 that had one of those. I think the whole purpose of the button was to make the LCD say 12..... thus making me THINK my PC was faster.....

Hey guys I'm ready to pop open a bottle of wine to celebrate beating OCAU.

If the room gets hot from all of my duallies in the basement, I can just kick open the back door to vent the room.

I still consider myself as part of the [H]orde, I got it going as fast as she can, anymore faster she'll blow, Captain!

I'm adding computers today. Just added 3.6ghz P4, and adding 3 more 1ghz CPU's to folding tonight or tomorrow. We're going to blow past em.

Mine said 16!!! Geez, there are some old farts around here :D

Who you calling old?

Haven't you noticed we are getting younger with age.

Its OCAU that is the old farts.

The experiment of bumping the fsb up by one point, would require us to reset our computers, loosing precious folding time.

I need my Precious work Units!!! Smeegle says.

but just think... if the average gain is 10mhz, then that'd be about 64ghz!

wait... that's not THAT much... but still. maybe people could go all out, say 2-3mhz FSB bump, and get 128ghz+!

and yes, i know that this is a completely impractical solution. it'd still be fun, though.

BAWWHHHAHA. Big D that almost made me spit out my beverage.

.. My Apple II GS didn't have a turbo button : (
It did have a healthy 1/2 meg of ram that I upgraded to 1 meg after about a year.. that upgrade was $680. ... times have sure changed.

... got one of my boxen back up.. that is good for about 150 ppd. .. it all helps.

Ahhhh......the days of the turbo button. Made Peeble Beach golf on the 5 1/4 run smoother :D

for some reason my main rig (3.2c) is working on a 600 pointer at ~100ppd

buuuuuuuuuut, i also b0rged a 2.66 so that kinda makes up for it ;)

this will be like the 3rd time in the lead?
I remember the OCAU guys talking mad smack when they took the lead last time.

My Wang had a turbo button... nothing like hitting the switch and watching all 8mhz go up to 12.... Now that's what I overclocking in its purest form. :D

This is just designed to take out of context. ;)

Whoops... probably shouldn't have used "Wang" and "up" in the same sentence, great machine though, the last I knew, it had been retrofitted up to a P4 2.6, we're pretty sure it might have been on the ark. :D

*deep breathing*
"The [H]orde is strong in this one..."

"OCAU... who is your daddy..."

Mmm ill have to have some fresh Alaskan Beer tonight i heard it washes down
roasted roo very well..

Well I think I just got another 5Ghz to borg, er, burn-in for a week or two, but I think they are starting to wonder why it takes me a month to rebuild a system.
