Hi
I'm moving next month and now I'm not sure where to setup my monitor. I've actually never thought about this much but now I have the room and time to do some things differently.
So the new room for the computer is a simple square room with one large window on one side. I can place my desk on the side with the window or the opposite side, but not on the other two, as both are full of closets. I know that you shouldn't place a monitor directly in front of a window but what if I placed it at a ~45° angle? Or would it be better if I placed it in front of the opposite wall?
My second question concerns the lighting in the room. I use a single spot with 2500K / 50 cd pointing at the ceiling atm and I like the light. It's not very bright and feels comfy. I've read that a lot of people use bias lighting with IPS / VA monitors. I like the idea and might get something like the Antec Halo 6 or this.
So what would you recommend? Bias lighting or do you prefer a ceiling lamp or something different altogether?
