I have a cd and when i run the setup.exe installer it yields a registry error window announcing a error 524. It autoruns, but the installer does not.
Only happens to one cd. and it works on a different computer just fine. Other installers run fine.
It is a brand new home built computer. Win XP, SP2 and all the windows updates done.
Could it be drivers? for windows? for the cd drive?
Any ideas?
Tried a registry cleaner. ASPI drivers. new cd burner drivers, making an image from the cd and mounting it with daemon tools software.
Stumped and asking for help.
