I just got a 49" Sony XE9005 that I'm using for my computer via HDMI (HDMI 2.0 with a GTX1070). I want to make sure I'v optimised all settings, both on the TV and in Windows.
So far I have done the following:
Set resolution to 3840x2160 in Windows (it suggests that one)
Changed colour format to 444 in the Nvidia panel
Turned contrast to max
Changed the picture mode to 'Game'
Turned off auto picture function
Set brightness to 30
Set Gamma to 0
Set black level to 25
Turned off black adjustment
Turned off advanced contrast improvement
Turned off automatic local dimming
Set sharpness to 50
Set Motionflow to personal
Set HDR mode to off
Set HDMI video area (not sure it's called that in English) to full
Set colour spectrum to auto (maybe something can be optimised here)
There is a function called 'Mastered in 4K' that I can't enable. Overall the picture looks good but black text on a white background could be sharper I think. What else can I do to optimise the picture? Are there any Windows functions I'm missing?
Any other suggestions?
Thanks!
