I just picked up the Koss KSC75 ear clips @ Radio Shack for $5.47 (thanks to the Hot Deal forum). These sound hugely better than much more pricey headset I was using previously, so much so that I went back and bought 2 more sets of them.
Anyway, I have a volume adjustment on the cord, master volume adjustment in Windows Vista (+individual app volume adjustment in Windows), and then of course all of my apps and games have their own volume adjustments. I am using a X-Fi XtremeMusic and Vista 64. Is there some rule of thumb to adjusting the volume in all of the various places to get the best sound? Right now I have the Windows volume at 67%, games running around 50%, and I just use the adjustment on the cord to fine tune from there. Is there a better way? Thanks!
