My memory and search skills are failing. I remember a year or so ago I was following a nice microsoft PDF (I think, may also have been web pages) that walked you through setting up a windows domain and a dns server and web server.. Anyone know what I'm talking about and can link me?

Pretty much, just run dcpromo from the command line after install of OS and follow the prompts.
