First off, the NF7-S should have come with at least one SATA cable. If not, you'll definitely need one. Secondly, the WD740GD Raptor has both power interfaces (SATA and standard 4 pin Molex) so you should be all set there. Your Thermaltake 420W silent purepower will be fine for the Raptor.

Hello Renegade87,
Thanks for the advise. I just noticed that the Monarch raptor is an OEM version, does that means it comes only with the drive without the cables? Read some reviews says that I can connect this drive with a standard molex too, am I right? So, all I need now is a sata cable for the OEM drive...pls correct me if i'm wrong, i'll be ordering soon, thanks again :)
 
You can connect the raptor with molex or sata power but not both. No idea whether the OEM comes with cable or not. That probably depends on monarch.
 
And just a heads up if it does come with a cable. WD uses their "Secure Connect" cable that covers both the SATA data and SATA power ports on the drive, but only connects to the SATA data port on the MB. Plenty of folks here have already found themselves stumped as to how to properly use this cable. Just be aware that if you get one of these cables with the drive you will need to use the old Molex power connector or scrap the cable in favor of "normal" SATA cables.

I'm one of the fools that thought "oh wow, one cable to supply both data and power? sweet!" the first time I was hooking things up:D

No problem dexth77. As was previously mentioned, you can plug a standard 4 pin molex plug from your PSU into the Raptor to power it. My Raptor was also an OEM unit I got from NewEgg. It did not come with a cable. Check with Monarch to see if they include one with the drive. If not, they're only a few bucks (what, like $5 depending on length and whether or not you want it UV sensitive).
 
Well, for those who planned to order from monarch, I mailed them and got response that they dont come with the cable, only bare drive. The WD secure cable itself is selling for 16 bucks.
