setting up thunderbird/outlook

when it asks me for the email address, i put it in, its a gmail address, but it asks for what the name of the incoming and outgoing servers are, i have no idea what to plug in. also, it asks if its POP or IMAP. Does anyone know how to do that?

gmail allows you to use POP.

In the gmail index, press Help in the upper right-hand corner. There is a detailed page on how to set up pop3 for either of those email clients.
