Hi, I'm a complete novice with regards to PC audio and have a couple of questions that I hoped someone could answer. I'm thinking of purchasing the Logitech X-620,Z-640 or the Altec Lansing 251; the problem is that I'm sure I'll need a couple of extra feet of wiring for the rear speakers. I'm told that I could buy some extension wires, but I have no idea what type of wires and whether I would have to rewire all the satellites or just plug the extensions in or what?
As you can see I'm pretty lost so any help would be greatly appreciated.

On a side note, does anyone know how long the cables for the z-5300 are?
 
ah, no worries this is simple.

just buy a spool of speaker wire, maybe 25 feet or so, at walmart. they have that general use RCA speaker wire which does the trick just fine. just take a wire clipper or pliers to remove about a half inch of the plastic coating on each end leaving about a half inch of exposed wire. twist up the wire terminals and plug one end into the output from your sub or wherver its coming from, and twist up the other end to the end of the satellite wires.

simple as that :D
