Setting up PC to D5520 TV using DLNA?

Hey chaps, I just bought a Samsung UE40D5520 TV, and the documentation is...beyond basic(instructions for setting up media streaming amount to "plug in TV, figure the rest out yourself noob"), and no matter what combination of search terms I use I'm coming up dry on Google.

Can anyone provide/link to a nice basic step-by-step on how I get from "plug in both devices to a network" to the point where I can actually browse and play the media files stored on my PC through my TV screen? My PC and TV are both networked and nominal, but I don't have a scooby how to get them talking to each other.

Twonky has a DLNA media server, i use it for my panasonic TV and it works well. The one built into windows media player is pretty crappy and does not transcode to my knowledge
