I have an Lg 20'' LCD hooked up to DVI and I have a 17'' CRT hooked up as well into the same videocard (7800gs). Now, when I try to do the horizon span option I get a funky resolution. How can I have my native 1680x1050 on the LCD and then something like 1024x768 on my CRT? The way Nvidia sets it up is that I have a very smushy view on my LCD and then an incredibly high resolution on my CRT.

Help needed!

Also - I downloaded Ultramon and it only detects the one LCD monitor.

Are you using XP? I just plugged in both my monitors and XP recoginzed them as primary and secondary right off the bat.

As for the resultions being off, yeah that might happen. This again is easily changed in the XP display properties. I have two idential LCDs and that doesn't have a problem, though a while back I had a 19'' and a 17'' and that caused resolution size issues, but it really didn't phase me too much.

Don't use the horizontal span option, that makes two monitors appear as one larger one to Windows. I believe the option you would choose with in the Nvida control panel is "Dual View" then Windows will see them as two seperate monitors and you can extend your desktop to your second monitor from the normal Windows Display Properties dialog.

I fixed the problem by not going through Nvidia software at all. After the two montiors were profiled I just went into the properties and was able to select a second one. Big thanks.

Had the same problem when I got my 2007WFP last week. All you gotta do is set your LCD up as your primary by unhooking the cable from your CRT and restarting and it'll set your LCD to primary. This will make it monitor '1'. Shut off computer. Plug back in CRT into VGA. Start it back up. Fixed.

For some reason, it doesn't recognize the proper settings for the LCD if you plug it in with your CRT from the start. Gives you a lower resolution and you can't change it through Display Properties.
