Hello all,
I bought a ssd recently to give my aging X58A system a performance bumb, i ended up buying sandisk extreme 240GB, to hook it up to my Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R Revision 2 motherboard, i expected it to be a smooth setup just like installing a hard drive but unfotuntley i was wrong especially in my case, i plugged it into the sata3 marvell controller and did some benchmarking with as ssd and this what i got
AS SSD Benchmark 1.6.4237.30508

what i want to know is how to set my ssd to work on full speed on my current motherboard ? is there someone around here manged to get his ssd work decently with a similar setup. if so, can you please show me how, I'm a total noob this the first time i deal with a ssd, I've heard Marvell controllers are not as good as intel so im not expecting 500MB/s but at least something close to 400MB/s anyone know how to set this ssd on my current specs to work at a decent speed.
Thanks in advance
