Hey guys, first of all sorry if there is an influx of "noobish" Nvidia related questions as my 970 just arrive and it's my first Nvidia card after 2 generations of AMD GPU's since building my this rig in 2012.

When I set a fan profile in EVGA, do I need to have EVGA set to run on computer startup in order to enable the fan profile? Or can I set it once and then close EVGA and not have it set to run on startup?
