Hey guys, Have you used Uberoptions as a viable alternative to Setpoint?, Do you have screens of the program, and also last question, what does Setpoint 4.4 fix!!!, I wish Logitech used something called Change Logs!!!!

Thanks

Uber is not an alternative. It installs on top of Setpoint and unlocks hidden features.

Oh, my assumption was that it was a replacement. kool thx for the info, i can't dl it now, but when i get home i could try.

Uberoptions does not replace Setpoint. You install it on top of Setpoint. The program modifies an xml file that describes the devices for Setpoint with the goal of unlocking all of the buttons within setpoint so you can program them. With that being said, I don't have any pics as I no longer use the software. It was the shit back when Logitech released mice and didn't add support for the extra buttons. Now the latest setpoint drivers allow you to program all of the buttons. Depending on the age of the mouse or keyboard in question, you may still need to use it but as far as I know the latest kb/m products seem to have full support.

I recently installed Uberoptions for my Logitech 518. It didn't give me anything that I couldn't do already. I was hoping to be able to make more of the mouse buttons "generic buttons", but it didn't do it for me.

It's since been uninstalled. It looks like it would be awesome for older mice, or older versions of setpoint, though.

Setpoint is crap without Uber Options if you ask me. I use the MX Revolution mouse, and with UO, I'm able to map the thumb wheel to universal media player controls. Scroll up for Next Track, down for Previous Track, and press as a button for Play/Pause.

Without the freedom of Uber Options, the potential utility of your $50-$100 "high-end" mouse is severely hampered. Do yourself a favor and try it out yourself. It's very stable and free to boot!

Fixed.
The Setpoint software is fine and it does what it's supposed to, for me they finally gave me the ability to map keys to those buttons. Now the selection isn't as great as Uberoptions but I have a media keyboard so I don't need music controls, etc on my mouse. It's stable because it edits an XML file. It's not running any software in the background unless something changed in the last version. It definately works as advertised.
