I'm new to this gear, but I want to set-up a "studio" in my garage for how-to videos.
- I'll shoot by myself in front of the camera and can't see the view finder.
- I need a front facing monitor while recording to see my shot while demonstrating stuff.
- I want to use this for interviews and maybe even remote work in the future too...
Like I said - I'm new to the gear and I hope you "get" what I want to set-up.
- I'm doing this on a budget and plan to buy stuff as I can afford it over time.
Has anybody else done this?
Can you post some suggestions and links?
My first goal is a solid tripod with a remote control camera.
- both must also support a forward facing external monitor while recording.
I'm thinking of the Canon 7D for 1080 external monitor support & other features.
I'm looking for an external monitor (maybe with a battery for field work).
- like the Lilliput 7" or ?????

Various mounts will probably be needed too...

I want a tripod that will hold a portable "cage rack" like this too:
- supporting a cam, ext. monitor, lights & mic.

Here's some random stuff I found in my research:
Sweet looking field set-up that I probably can't afford:

Any advice, shopping lists or photos of your set-ups would be greatly appreciated!
