Ok if someone could do me a favor and tell me in detail how to set up an email server on a WinXP box with a cable modem. Just the fastest easiest way possible step by step, would really help.

What protocol do you plan on using? also, you should probably check with your ISP for the legal side of this.

you can install third party software for this, but they might not work unless you have a domain name. wouldn't it look jank sending email to someone at [email protected] ?
