Hi guys,
Im having some issues that you guys might be able to help me with!
I have a few Supermicro servers running in this chassis: Supermicro | Products | Chassis |4U | SC846BE1C-R1K28B <- with the single expander unit
The servers run one of these two controllers: AOC-S3008L-L8e or AOC-S3108L-H8iR(IN HBA MODE).
The problem is that im seeing loads of locksup on these servers, and at random times loads of programs will be left running in "D" state, meaning that it is waiting for IO..
I have been unable to solve this, I have tried swapping linux kernel, all hardware in one of the servers, i have applied the latest firmwares but i have not been able to get them stable.
All servers run with HGST Ultrastar 7K4000 4TB SATA drives.
Are there any ideas here? Or what do you need to diagnose from?
Thanks!
