Hey gents,
I posted this originally in the main BF3 thread, but the post keeps getting buried. I am hosting a contest with prizes, and the details are here: http://www.bootstrapbf3.com

Pretty much, the top 3 ranked players (via GameTracker) by November 19th will be rewarded with respective prizes. The Top prize is a HIS 6950 2GB (which was just recently added).

There are no ulterior motives or underlying ploys with this.It's very simple, you play, you win (if you're in the top 3 of course). I'm simply trying to get the server populated, and that has proved to be an extremely difficult task (even with giving away free stuff!).

Anyhow, that is all. Leave any feedback or comments here.

Edit 2: I've had lots of interest throughout the day, but it seems people are joining in small groups at differing times, and in result the server never really becomes populated. I'm planning on having people meet up around 8:30 EST Thursday, so if you can, that will probably be your best bet to join until the server gets populated regularly.

damn man, it's been empty every time i've checked it after that one game we had today. i really want the video card! :D
 
Yea, I just read a pretty interesting thread about the server identifiers and servers being displayed. I think it's a large part of my issue. I've moved the server down to 32 slots now, supposedly that helps with it getting populated...

It should pick up soon, hopefully.
 
I'm curious as to what is the ranking based on? Judging by the numbers I'm assuming just kills?
 
Hey guys, just to give you a heads up -- we're going to attempt to populate the server in about 20-30 minutes, so if you could join it would be much appreciated. We're going to try to get that initial population going so hopefully Dice's back end actually enables showing the server in the browser.
