We will be making some major server changes tonight, expect outages. Moving away from VMware. The outage you just saw is a VMware problem, still don't get any answers as to why it just stops working.

When you get a chance can you go into some of the issues a little more that you all were having? Just for future refrence as some of us look at moving systems to virtual enviroments in the future.

Looks like the time on the server may be wrong. I just posted and it's showing the timestamp as 5 hours ahead of what it should be, as if I were in GMT. Edit: Nevermind, looks like the timestamp on this post is fine, so it seems to be fixed.

Roger that.

VMware does not support the on-board Broadcom NICs on 2900 / 1900 / and R300 series servers. Neither does it support the single/dual addin Intel NICs we happened to have either. VMware was an afterthought, so none of the servers were purchased with VMware in mind. VMware is supposed to have a fix for the NICs onboard this month, but have yet to see it.
