I am looking for a case with a rear mountable 5.25" drive bay. Why you ask? Well Areca makes a SAS expander: http://www.areca.com.tw/products/sascableexpander.htm that gives 6 SAS ports for one input and it daisy chains! Only problem is that instead of being expansion slot based like the chembro it's 5.25" drive bay based. Well I don't want to run cables front to back or through the case, I'd like something that will look reasonably professionally done when I am done and not have 3 cables dangling front to back.

See the photos below for a clue of the case I am looking for.

Well I dont know of any, but I think that if you got a 4u chassis you could make it work.

Above the expansion slots on 4Us there is usually a Vented area.
I think if you cut that out, you could fit the expander there and it would sit on top of any expansion cards you had there.

Drill two holes in the side of the case for the mounting screws and call it a day.

Are you sure that isn't the right size to fit where the mobo I/O plate goes? That's where the Chenbro UEK's are mounted.
