Right now i have 2 importna vm's running in xen, with iscsi and its all working perfectly. My plan was to upgrade my server to 64 gigs and put the vm's locally, then use my qnap for backups and shared storage for my computers & downloads....

HOWEVER, been reading and wanting to go to hyper v because it's easier to manage and backup.

Right now i have my 2 vm's backing up to a shared drive as vhd's.

My question is, if i install2012 ( technet copy legit ) on my dell server can i just import those saved backed up vhd files into hyper v and they will work ? or do i have to do some majical hoops.

They'll work but likely do a driver reinstall and you'll lose things like network settings because they'll think they have new NICs

Thanks dragon, will I need to re run the Internet wizard again for my sbs2012 ?
