Dealing with some issues and I'm trying to get some information. Basically I'm seeing disk messages in the event viewer, informing me there are bad blocks (multiple servers/disks). There are a few things I can't seem to find answers for:

1. Are the bad block errors Windows/NTFS remapping the bad blocks? Is this just a heads up letting us know it has been done and we're good to go?

2. Will chkdsk find/report the same bad blocks, or only new ones?

3. What is the threshold for bad blocks? Is there a safe amount?

More info from testing:

-Seatools basic short tests pass the drive(s) (SMART, short drive self test, short generic)
-System is still operational without any other errors

That can be caused by damage to the filesystem too. Fun a chkdsk /f on the drive (it will require a reboot to run if it is the system drive) and see if that helps. Otherwise seatools is somewhat iffy at detecting emerging physical issues with drives if they aren't blatant or incrementing a SMART counter on the drive.
