Serious problem with Cubase4

Yes I'm very well aware that steinburg have their own user support fourm but it's not helping me in the slightest so I came back here for a second opinion.

My problem is, when ever I want to add sound samples to the audio tracks, I get an Error message from HALionOne saying that it could not find or load (Sample name). I either get that error message or Optimization Library not found: Please re-install plug-in. Thus far re-installing the entire program has proved fruitless. Could anyone please help? It's my first time using Cubase 4 and I'm far from impressed. Do I need to patch it? Or is it an install error where the file is placed in the wrong folder?

i dont have any ideas (dont know how to use cube base four) but give it some time, people are mostly online after noon, around 4
