That's the current pinnacle in Intel x86 hardware. Quad-socket Nehalem Beckton octal-core server (7500-series). What's impressive about this particular server is that it's equipped with four X7560 Xeons, which are the top model blessed with 24MB of L3 cache, that's right 24MB!!! :eek: :eek:

they are just retardedly expensive and in my opinion no where near worth the value yet when it comes to PPD.. even the low end 7500 series chips are over 2 grand a piece..

Yep, totally agreed. They're not intended for personal use and besides the frequency is too low for my liking. Moreover, I'm still wondering about F@H scaling issues but like we both posted in the past, more than one client can be installed if such a problem arises. In any case, I'd still like to see what these servers are capable of. Too bad that guy in the OP FF link isn't on our team...
