Yes, whenever I use my floppy drive, it starts making this really ugly sound and when I get done with it, and take my floppy disk out of the drive, I find that it has severe scratches on it.....

I was just wondering what is wrong with it and if there's anything I can do to fix it...?

^ agreed. Sounds like it's on the way out. Of course, I wish the whole technology would go that way. We need a good replacement for floppy drive technology.

There aren't any replacements that the market has widely accepted. ZIP100, ZIP250, SuperDrive/LS120, memory sticks, flash cards, thumbdrives, CDR/CDRW, etc., have all tried and failed at gaining critical mass.
