Hello Hard Forumites. I have an interesting question. But first, some history. Years ago when I built my new tower I bought a furman power conditioner to filter out the nasties of the mains so that I could get crisp audio out of my speakers (the computer is used for music creation and the like thus the neccessity for a power conditioner). This conditioner works like a champ and has isolated circuits so my speakers are on a different circuit than the pc etc.

However, whenever I start my computer with the speakers on there is a loud pop that happens (I'm using a PCI sound card and not the built in stuff). My solution so far has been to turn on the computer and then turn all three speakers on individually. This is a cludgy solution and I'm looking to improve after all these years! I was wondering if you guys happen to know of any rack mountable power sequencers with a remote control so that I can conveniently turn on and off my speakers. It would be REALLY cool if the sequencer could also interface with the computer so that it knows when it's shutting down, turning on, going to sleep etc. and turn the speakers off accordingly. Thanks for any advice.

P.S. Or, is there some way I can disable the power to the PCI card and only power it up after POST so that there is no loud pop?
