Separating pump from H2O-320 edge or...

Somewhat lengthy two part question...

1. I unfortunately purchased the Swiftech H2O-320 Edge some time ago rather than just manning up and piecing it out. I got a great deal on it and it came to be about the same price...but hindsight is 20-20, no? In any case, is it possible to separate the pump housing of the MCP35x from the radiator? It's truly a pain in the ass to fill and bleed with the pump so high in the case. Additionally, as strange as it may sound, it would actually be a lot easier to route tubing in an aesthetically pleasing manner without it integrated. (I don't like the look of long runs)

2. I was considering running a second pump in serial as my loop is getting fairly large and my flow rates are not what I would like while maintaining an acceptable level of noise. How much difference does it make to have a reservoir in between the two pumps (again, just for ease of filling and bleeding) rather than straight pump > pump.

Thanks a bunch fellas.

While not the exact model, it's pretty similar:
