Separate video capture card or x800?

Don't know if this is the right place or not. ...but

I have a collection of analog tapes I need to convert to DVR media. I'm also deliberating on whether or not to buy a x800 or 6800gt for games. Part of me is leaning towards the x800 because it has built in video capture capabilities. However, would a separate video capture card give me a better picture then one that's built into the x800? How does the x800 compare to a separate video capture card?
