I'm building my own computer, and don't know too much about some things. I've heard that Installing windows on a different drive is a good idea. Should I just get a small drive and a big drive? or is it ok if I have two 80gb drives. I'm not sure exactly how this works. Thanks :)

You can search for the long arguments about this, but:

Windows + Programs on a single drive is a good idea. Don't buy in to the "5GB is enough for Windows" argument, as the Windows+Programs footprint is always rising.

Data on a second hard drive is not a bad idea. Data on a second partition on the same hard drive is basically useless. Either way, data on an external backup is good.

If you have the space, a Ghost of your base Windows install is great.

As I'm recovering from a crash now, I'm thankful that I moved all of my data to a second drive off of the OS drive. My primary is a 36GB and thought it would be a waste to use the whole thing for one OS, so now (that I was forced) will start dabbeling into multibooting and runing a Linux release. Yea for comp. crashes!
