Sentry2 Fan Controller confusion

I have researched the entire website, forums, and reviews and I cannot come up with a solid answer. So.. to my problem:

I ordered a IN WIN GRone (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811108423) that still has the 5 original fans installed. I also ordered the Sentry2 Fan Controller for giggles I suppose. When I run the controller, any speed except 100% immediately shuts downs the fan assigned to that number. For the LED fans, the LED stays illuminated but the fan itself stops spinning. I don't think its possible that the fans aren't speed controlled especially with the front board controller already installed.

I'm about to RMA this crap and stay MB controlled, any idea why I can't run these fans at lower speed?

Do the LEDs dim as you change the setting? What do you mean by front board controller?

I have a mini controller on the front panel that has a setting for silent/turbo which quiets/speeds up the fan. The LEDs do not dim. I do not see these fans drawing 10 watts but maybe so

Connect one fan to one channel and see if you can control it. Do not connect it to the controller on the front panel.

Alright, will try it in a minute, let you know the result in a few minutes.

Side note: the front controller is not installed because I have this controller

Edit: I tried with only fan 1 which is a LED fan, as soon as I drop power to 90% if looks like it is trying to spin and at 80% is stops, no LED dimming. fan 5 is a non led and the same effect happens

Seems rather odd that the fan wouldn't spin but the LEDs won't dim. Does the fan have two separate power connectors?

Each fan includes a 3 pin male and 3 pin female but I'm assuming those are for daisy chaining

Hmmm... well, I'm not sure what to say. It seems very odd to me that the LEDs remain bright but the fan stops spinning. With my fans, the LED always dims with the fan.

Do you have any other fans from other builds you can try it with?
