sennheiser pc165 & pc160 question

Is the only difference between the two just that the 165 is usb? thx.
 
Yes, but when you use that it automatically replaces yoru sound card. So if you have a good sound card get the p160. Although I reccomend you get a good pair of headphones such as the Senn Hd485's $75 and a good seperate mic.
 
Im planning on getting the $120 x fi sound card so I think im gonna go with the 160's. I like having the microphone attached to the headphones so I'll sacrifice some sound quality I guess instead of getting the hd485's.
 
Did you look at the icemat and steelpad models, I don't know how they stack up to the Senn's but they may be worth a look.

Ya i checked those out but I think the pc160 senns would be the best quality for around 70 gaming headsets. Unless someone could prove me wrong...
