Creatine = Creotine does it not?
But it surely explains the whole basshead thing. :D

Nope. Creatine monohydrate = creatine. Creotine = illiterate person.

Creatine monohydrate = C4H9N3O2 = found in meat = converts spent energy ADP(adenosine phosphate) back to useable energy, ATP(adenosine tri-phosphate).

HD 580's and HD 600's here.

I still prefer my Audio Techica ATH-W100's to both of them, but hell then we are really talking about cans rather than headphones.

Here's to wishing I had a pair of ATH-W1000's

OH and there are pairs of sony headphones in the sam Class as the Senns

Sony MDR-CD3000

Just FWIW

too many fanboi's for the senns. They are good, but not the holy grail.

HD600 owner here. Will probably defect back to the Grado camp though. I tend to like a little more pizzaz to my sound.

I've owned grado headphones, and seinhouser but the headphones did not really sound good until I bought a headphone amp. I currently have a creek OBH-11 with the upgraded OBH-2 power supply. Made my grados and seinhousers sound much better. Much improved bass and more detailed high end. What ever headphones you use, if you want to get better sound look into headphone amps.

Satisfied HD497 owner here. Have recommended them to many looking for low/mid priced headphones.

Something tells me that many of the HD580 owners here already run them off amps.
From what I have seen, you are correct. I use my 580s with an Audio Technica amp, and they sound pretty damn good.

I'm new to the realm of quality headphones, the best ones I have, are Sony Dynamic Stereo Headphones ($20 cans), and I am looking to getting better headphones, preferably Sennheisers. I have $135 to spend, and am currently looking at a special deal at headphone.com, HD280 Pros for $99.99. Is there anything better that I can buy for my money, or are those good enough?

HD-570's here, from that amazon deal for 70 bucks. Pretty nice, the bass is a bit too strong, but god are they comfortable. they work find no-amp on my IBM R40, heck of alot better than my Sony MDR-CD280's that crapped out on me.

Another satisfied HD-570 owner, but they definately need some type of amp to shine (even the Amp on the ProMedia 4.1's help) :)

The HD-280 are good for the money. Shop around, however. You shoudl be able to find them for $80 on Amazon.

That post in the hot deals section fooled a lot of misguided people into thinking that the HD570s were a good deal for $69.
Little did they know that the HD497s are much better cans in the same price range. :(

Don't even get me started on what a rip the HD500s are for that so called good price of $49.99

Just got my 555's and I'm in love with them. There's no way I'm ever going back to cheap headphones.

These are the types of posts we ALL want to see. Not some other people trying toconvince fellow Sennheiser owners to dislike what they already know is good to thier ears.AND THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH LOVING SOMETHING THAT YOU PAID FOR WITH YOUR OWN MONEY.
