I'm a long time lurker. In the past I was able to send private messages and buy stuff from the For Sale/Trade forum, but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore. Is there some type of requirement? Will it be solved if I upgrade my account?

i am experiencing the same issue, i do not post much but usually browse the Sale/Trade forum an PM sellers.

Yes, that is disabled on accounts that do not contribute to community conversations.
