OK, this is Getting Weird in a hurry.

The machine is a Asus K8S-MX (SIS760GX) paired with a A64 2800+, 512meg DDR.

It has always been a touch on the flaky side due to driver issues (don't load the AGP driver when using the onboard VGA, for instance), but up until this current WU, the machine has been running stable for over two months. Beginning with the successful finish of Unit 4 (last WU), when it tries to upload said WU, the machine reboots.

I'll state that again: when FAH tries to upload the queued WU, within 7 seconds of the FAHlog.txt entry stating such, the machine spontaneously reboots. The system logs note a bug-dump is initiated at that point. It isn't heat-related; I've checked the temps and nothing is out of range. The machine will do this when FAH is started by the command line "fah500-console -send all", from a cold boot, with nothing else running.

The directory has been saved to a .zip file, everything purged, FAH reinstalled, and it is currently chewing on Protein: p741_Villin-pfold-protein-confined, Project: 741 (Run 13, Clone 29, Gen 5).

My first thought is RAM. Yours too probably. My second thought tends toward doing realtime voltage readings (mulitmeter) at that point where it's going to reboot.

Just some quick thoughts...I'll try some slow ones too ;)

Yeah, initially thought it was RAM, but ruled out. The power will have to wait another day.

In the meantime, 25 of 100 frames overnight and not a peep out of it. If things quiet down around here, I'm going to close down FAH on my main computer, unzip the mess in question and try the upload from there. If it reboots, we have a problem, Houston...
