The US Senate has asked HP to turn over stock option information on Mercury Interactive, a software company they had purchased last year.
"It is our understanding that they are interested in allegations that certain former Mercury officers and directors knew about and/or benefited from the practice of backdating options," HP spokesman Ryan Donovan said.
