I was googling XR382CQK part number, "UM.TX2AA.001-RB", and found the company COMPSOURCE.COM selling a refurbished (90-day warranty from Acer) one for only $815.14.

That's about $115 cheaper than anywhere I've seen this refurbished monitor for sale, and about $250 cheaper than lowest retail price.

And again, this is for the monster 38", no the smaller 34" ultrawide.

thoughts?

I’ve seen them for $800 refurb several times(ebay, Acer, Amazon).
I can’t complete the purchase because I feel like for 20% more you’ll get a two year warranty vs 90 days

You’ll also get less chance, with new, of getting a dead pixel or backlight bleed (assumption)

They are $1029 at Amazon new and $1000 at microcenter new

Also I feel like waiting till quantum dots and HDR (and gsync) is available in a 38” is probably prudent. I’m not loving my Vega experience right now due to buggy drivers. Freesync isn’t even reliably working on Vega since launch. Should be some major upgrades in next years monitor releases. Just how much more will it cost?

$769 on ebay right now with free shipping through buydig.com

It appears you can't do 75Hz with NVidia though according to some posts I've read??? (frame skipping)
