So after planning to do this for a while, I finally got the cash together to do my first WC build. I'll be doing a semi custom loop. I think for my first try I'm going to stay with soft-tubing so I can get the feeling of WC.

I'm going to be ordering tonight:

swiftech h240-x
NexXxoS ST30 Full Copper 360mm
EK-FC Titan X - Acetal+Nickel
Advanced LRT Flexible Tubing - 3/8 ID - 1/2 OD - White
I haven't decided on what I am getting for a release valve yet

Would a second reservoir be needed for bleeding or would the swiftech reservoir do a good enough job ?

I was loving the look of monsoon fitting but I can't get them in Canada. So I think I will be going with bitspower fitting.

My question is for the compression fitting's. Since both radiators are quarter inch threaded would the 3/8inch be perfect to fit on the rads? Also what size fitting should I get 5/8 ? I want to ordered all the fitting at once so how should I determine what kind and how many fitting I need ( straight and angled ect )

I think I got all the parts I need unless you guy's can think of something.

The fitting will be determined by the tubing you use. If you are using 3/8ID 1/2OD tubing, you need to get fittings that work with that. The fittings will most likely be advertised with both the ID and OD listed, because with compression fittings both dimensions matter.

You don't need a second reservoir.
 
Not sure if you placed your compression fitting order yet but you would need at least 2 (1 input/ 1output) for each separate piece in the loop. ie. GPU / Rad / Reservoir = 6 fittings. Best thing to do in order to determine straight or angled fittings is take a picture of your case and draw out where everything will be located. If it looks like the tubing has a chance of being crimped on any part of it's path then plan with angled fittings accordingly. Good to have a couple more than you need just in case.
 
Check out Barrow fittings if you haven't ordered them yet. I used them in my last build and they worked great. Also, much easier to get the retention ring onto the tubing then bitspower fittings in my experience.

I have a very similar setup to the one your getting. Hardest part about using the h240x in an expanded loop is bleeding. I eventually added a second res to help with the process, makes it much easier. As someone above said plan your loop out and get angled fittings where needed.



As you can see I have a bay res going into the h240x inlet. Once the pump is primed and the fluid is connected from the second res to the pump it makes it easy to keep filling the second res and then bleed the loop. Draining is also easy, there is a drain plug on the bottom of the radiator.
