The link in the OP does not resolve if you are not logged in.
Is it one of those 80 game machines?

I bought one of these for my sons last year... It's cool up until you realize the controllers really suck. Maybe this model's controllers will be better.
Not trying to be a killjoy - just something to be wary about.
Yes it is.
Updated the link. Hopefully it works for you

What happens if you don't have a membership haha.
Update: Probably a no go for me - 10% markup for non-members.

Wow, looks pretty cool. Think I might still have my original Genesis controller(s) somewhere and it has controller ports on the front, so I'm guessing I could use those too?
Also, what is the output type on this (composite, component, HDMI)?
Composite only.
Any idea what Composite --> HDMI adapter works best? Seems some are CHEAP and others ~$100
I have no experience with such a device but I can't imagine that it would look any better than it does with the composite cable direct into the TV.
Also, there is only one audio cable, the sound is mono. Not sure if the Genesis was stereo.
If I remember, the earlier generation Genesis had a REALLY good sound chip, and the later ones cheaped out on the sound chip and it was pretty night-and-day. I would like to know what chip this uses..
It sounds hideous (the video quality is pretty crappy too). It's a cool gift idea but if you have some of the carts it would be better to pick up a used genesis (preferably model 1). There's a lot of reviews up on YouTube so you can observe the audio and video quality. Here's some sound comparisons:

Hooking up the system to a Sega cd add on gave you stereo sound.
why not use emulator on pc ?
I am glad it is not just me. The first time I fired up Sonic, I noticed the sound quality was terrible. I am not sure how in this day and age that a decent MIDI synthesizer can cost more than a few cents.
Never looked around the web but I played Sonic so much when I was a kid that I'd know if I ever heard the music off tune.
You know Green Hill Zone Act 1 song better then Terminator 2 theme brah?
it looks like it uses multi-game cartridges and original carts as well. did you see the "nomad" that uses sd-cards? http://www.samsclub.com/sams/ultima...aign=rr&sn=ClickCP&campaign_data=prod19080333
