Hello all, i'm new to the forums - and i enjoy reading through all of the various topics here, truly a great website!

I've recently built a new system which is as follows:

A64 3500+ Winchester (Stock Cooler)
2 x 512MB Corsair Twin-X 3200XL (2-2-2-5)
ATI Radeon X850 XT
Abit AN8 Fatal1ty M/Board

I'd just like a little guidance if possible on where to begin. No doubt i'll be told "Get a better CPU cooler"

From reading previous posts, i understand some luck is involved with this clocking business. All i'm after are some realisitc, not too ambitious targets to squeeze some extra performance out of this new system, and how to go about achieving them.

Kind Regards

Mort

If you're looking to overclock, give the guide in my sig a read.....helped out a few people with it ;) And as far as overclocking a videocard, I'm sure the search button should reveal a guide or two on how to do that. If you get a decent overclock on your system, be sure to post it in the guide...like to keep a tally of what people have got from it.

Excellent, i'm about to give the guide a good read, it looks great! I attempted earlier to see how far i could up the HTT whilst retaining the 2-2-2-5 settings, i managed upto 216Mhz, all the time stress testing using SiSoft Sandra 2005 before the comp would restart itself.

I hear some people find 2-2-2-6 / 2-2-2-11 to be more optimal settings? I'll have to give those a go, see what comes of it :D
