I just got another job after moving back to Illinois and I'm in the market for a new monitor. The one I have now is an NEC Multisync M700 CRT. It's big, it's blocky, and the speakers suck. The screen itself is starting to fuzz out on me. The sheer heat this thing gives off is atrocious. The short: I'm taking a hammer to this Easy-Bake Oven wannabe when I replace it with a nice LCD.
My usage:
Movies
Games
Graphics
My requirements:
Around the $200-$400 range, highest ~$500.
19 inch screen or bigger, BUT will take a 17 if it does great for movies.
A solid stand to it that doesn't require me having to bolt it down (read: Duct tape, as I'm cheap and ghetto on improvising) on my desk everytime the wind blows.
Minimal glare - I get enough from the girlfriend
The optional luxuries (not absolute necessities, but nice to have as a bonus if they just so happen to be available):
Widescreen
Anything other than TN film
TV Tuner
