See Through Phone Concept

I know this is only a concept design but it does make you wonder how soon we will see devices like this. By the way, if this guy’s work looks familiar, we posted his fireworks vehicle locator idea a couple weeks back (here).

I could see the touch responsive parts of something like this being transparent with the use of flexible OLED screens, but what about the other components like chipset, wires, speakers, etc? They wouldn't be able to make the whole thing see-through.

The traces are transparent, they do this now with LCDs. It may be possible to make the emissive coatings virtually transparent (perhaps a faint translucency). Plus, OLEDs generally emit in one direction, so that deals with the privacy issue.

1.) Neat
2.) Retarded
3.) That's Impossible
4.) Why it is neat, impossible or retarded
5.) Why other forum members are wrong for liking / hating it.
6.) People send me porn, so I'd have to say no.

We post things all the time that are stupid, goofy, lame etc. etc. etc. just so we all get our chance to bag on it too
