"But you should know that internally the new iPod is a ground-up reconstruction, and its really compelling applications — the ones that very well might get the goat of anyone unable or unwilling to upgrade — are still secret. All that Apple is saying is that there's more to this than what's being publicized."

This article hints at hidden iPod features. I wonder what they could be. Gigglebyte, any ideas?

I could give all sorts of ideas but they would not be correct ;) they don't tell us crap about what is going to be rolled until it actually released...good example is there is somebody here that has info on the new imacs and the canned response from him is "I can neither confirm nor deny any information about the new imacs" and he just smiles

It sounds like privleged info on the infinite loop is harder to get to than Nuclear secrets from the Las Alamos Lab.

I think the new iMac may look like this contraption from the TBS commercial. I mean all those mini 60 GB drives have to go somehwere.

in a conference call, Apple's CFO confirmed that the new iMac was going to be G5 based, so i doubt that they can fit a g5 into something so thin.

I swear you work at Area 51.

that would be interesting...wonder where the CPU would be though?

I figured if they could pack it into a iBook form they could do the same with this. But if you had a G5 in there then you would have massive heatsinks sticking out the back.

if I told you I would have to kill you :D but I am waiting with baited breath to see what they are going to look like

I was imagining the iMac looking sort of like it does now, all aluminum and with the new style display (thin frame).
Granted It'll be cool to see it once it's announced!

Giggle, say hi to Al for me if you see him around :)

Secret iPod features.. hmm.. well we should all know that it's got a faster processor, so that opens the window to all sorts of stuff.

I'd bet on Apple developing a wireless peripheral that would snap into your iPod, a la the iTrip, and *presto* the wireless remote everyone said the Airport Express should have had.
