Before I bought any, I'd want to know where they came from. Best would be overstock returns that had never been used, next best would be pulls from cases or computers where the customer wanted a PSU upgrade. But I'd probably avoid any used PSU that had been in service for long, unless I knew how to repair them, and I'd be suspicious even of factory repaired PSUs, unless somebody could prove to me that the factory tested the electrolytic capacitors for ESR and didn't merely measure ripple under full load.

But in any case I wouldn't buy a used PSU unless it was a lot less than the cheapest brand-new Fortron-Source model of comparable power rating.

Are yous serious?

This is [H] after all....I'd "sell" someone a PSU with no warranty knowing damned good and well that it functioned 100% with no errors...I'd make good on it though. If there was a problem I'd make it right.

Usually, if you buy a power supply that's still in warranty, the power supply's warranty is not transferrable.

You MUST make sure the person that sells the PSU to you gives you the original receipt with the power supply.

I think what's more important is that the person that sells it to you gives you their own "warranty."

When I sell something, I always give a 30 day DOA with the item.
