I am currently in the process of adding a second DNS server too our AD domain (only had 1).

I installed the DNS role on the box and just wondering, when I create the new zone, do I make it a primary or secondary DNS server? Little confused on what type of DNS server it needs to be? If its primary, do I check "Store the zone in Active Directory"?

Your primary is the SOA.
If its AD integrated means that all dns records are stored in AD thus automatically updating the AD DNS servers.

Yeah I just made it AD integrated and it all replicated over....well that was easy!

Final question, eventually I will be taking down the other DNS server to replace that server, do I have to do anything special with regards to DNS? Anything with SOA? It looks like this is also a SOA DNS Server?
