Searching for cheap network hardware.

Eventually i'll be needing something with multiple copper and fiber gigabit ports. But for now what I need is a switch/router with a few 10/100(/1000?)base-t(rj45) lines and an 1000base-sx (sc/sc) port.

I dont have a ton of money to spend and have searched pricewatch, ebay, and newegg extensively.
