Being able to actually search for the string P4 when you're looking for a processor would be great.

I'm sure MD will give you the lowdown.. but what about doing a search like

Pentium p4

as the search string? or intel p4

Try P-4 or "P-4"...it gives you a little bit of everything, but the P4 threads are there also.

How about adding it to the search function in admincp ?

AdminCP / vBulletin Options / Message Searching Options / Words to be Included Despite Character Limit /

...and there add words like P4 and X2.

P4 is kinda a bad search anyway.

What exactly are you looking for? Maybe try a motherboard name, a problem you're having, "intel overclocking," etc.

agreed, or make a thread. or do you just want to read about pentium 4s? :p

To buy one? The problem is you'll also hit every post by everybody who's put "P4" (or whatever you decide to search for) into their signature. There's no workaround for this; unfortunately, and it makes the search feature nearly useless here.

W00t! When was it fixed? I remember giving up on search here last summer because it hit signature contents.

if you're looking for a p4, you might want to look in steve's iguana's belly. :D
