Seagate GoFlex Desk

I thought that I was one of those lucky ones that picked up a 3tb usb3.0 Seagate on BF at Costco but just found out that Seagate has discontinued their GoFlex Desk line. Seagate has replaced their GoFlex Desk line with the Backup Plus line but the hardware looks the same. I guess thats why costco had them on sale for $99. The guy at costco said that the models are identical which they do look identical.

I did a little reseach and sounds like they just changed the software between the two models. Not sure what I should do? If anyone know anything about these two line, please shead some light on it for me.
