seagate cheetah??

Simply answer... no. As much as I dislike Raptors, the Raptor is way better. If you look at the specs on this drive it is Ultra SCSI II. It's slow. 80MB/s and 6.7ms seeks. A cudda 7200.8 is almost as fast as this perticular cheetah and costs less per gb. (Plus you don't need to buy a SCSI HBA).
