Hi,
I got a Seagate Barracuda 7200.8 200GB Serial-ATA 7200rpm 8MB cache.
And its got very much noice on load. Can I do anything about it?
I got this IBM Feature tool program where u can lower the acoustic level on a hdd, but it wont support the Seagates.. SO any1 got any ideas? Please help!

You got one of the AAM locked drives. That pitfall of buying a Seagate for quiet operation is mentioned in the Buyer's Guide. There, there is a link to the SilentPCReview article comparing the 'Cuda 7200.7 (believe it or not, the same drive as yours physically) to the Samsung SpinPoint P80. they ran into the same problem - noise they deemed unacceptable, and they couldn't change the AAM settings on the Seagate. Check out the SPCR article.
